Inspired by service and family
The inspiration for Bossys Veterans & Community Enrichment Foundation comes from a deep personal connection to military service and a lifetime of community work. Both my uncles, one from my mother's side who served in the Air Force and another from my father's side who served in the Marines, have shaped my understanding of sacrifice and dedication. My neighbor, who completed four tours in Iraq, further deepened this appreciation. These personal ties, combined with over 30 years of professional experience serving the community, ignited my passion to create a foundation that truly makes a difference.
A lifetime of dedicated service
For over 30 years, I've had the privilege of working in various community-serving professions, including nursing, medical assistance, housing specialization, residential home supervision, and operations management in mental health and detox units. This extensive background has shown me the critical needs of individuals who often fall through the cracks. It deeply affects me to see people struggling with unmet needs or receiving resources that ultimately fail them. This experience fuels my commitment to ensuring that Bossys Veterans & Community Enrichment Foundation provides tangible, effective support to veterans, seniors, individuals with disabilities, those experiencing housing instability, and underserved families.
